3/10/2023 0 Comments Lilypond drums![]() Could there be a link on the main page (and on all tab pages) to leap to a random tab? One of the fun parts of playing TMBG music is that there's so much to pick from, but choosing is the hardest part! -Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.187.189.129 ( talk I have a suggestion for this page but don't know enough about wiki to build it. To you experienced guitar players out there, what do you think? -Duke33 13:09, 24 April 2013 (EDT) I don't play guitar, so I don't know if this would be a good way to display tabs or not. It looks like a new MediaWiki Score Extension has been released. Of course, that's not going to guarantee that it's totally printable.but at least the navigation (et al) is removed. There is a "Printable Version" link under the "toolbar" section on the left-hand side. (J=John) (J2= John & john)ĭo you think it would be cool to ahve a printer-compatible button or something? i made the accordion page, and this j2 fellow seems to know too much to not be linnell. If the accordion.ists get linnell, y dont we get flans or miller over here to help us out? File:SpiralingShape Endofthetour.mp3 - Spiraling Shape 18:34, 2 September 2006 (UTC) The beginning SUCKS (I'm sorry I slaughtered this beautiful song T_T), but it gets a little better near the end. This is my rendition of Meet James Ensor. It's not too impressive guitar-wise, but from a style standpoint it's fun because it's so different than the original. Here is my contribution it's a slow rock acoustic version of I Hope That I Get Old Before I Die. I agree, this section is awesome, and the submissions so far have been great! You found the perfect idea for a little section on here. I believe that it can create tabs as well as sheet music.- Augie Guitar Time It would be good for the majority of music that isn't played on guitar, but I would feel a little iffy about converting the guitar and bass tabs too, as I can read tabs easily, but notes take too long when using chords. Would it convert our original tabs into sheet music? I'm a guitar and piano player, and chords work great for both for me, so I'd like to just simplify and standardize the way we have our chord pages now. I'd need to see some examples of how it would work. TMBG makes great songs for idly plucking on a violin, it's even greater when you've got music for the idle plucking. I know I could contribute my interpretation of Man, It's So Loud In Here, and it'd be cool to have other songs transcribed. Not to mention it will be possible to transcribe and upload Dead now! - Desck TisherĪwesome! I've been itching to know how to play The Famous Polka for a while now, and I think I could contribute the piano part from South Carolina. I don't have a lot of technical musical experience but i'd be willing to give it shot. I've only looked over the site briefly, but it sounds like a cool idea. ![]() I don't play anything as cool as the guitar but I have used sites using lilypond to get sheet music and it is really user friendly. I think this would be perfect for that.- Augie 20:52, (EST) Also, in Talk: Main Page there is a brief discussion on accordion/piano/other instruments music. Sounds great! Using this software would regulate the tab's style, which is a bit of a mess right now. If there is enough interest, we will look into installing this software. Also, sure, it would print out beautiful sheet music, but would it be too difficult to enter? (Check out the Lilypond documentation before you answer.) The big question is, would this be useful to the wiki? Neither of us admins play the guitar, so we don't know if it would be valuable or not. ![]() The LilyPond software is a lot to install, so we are not going to guarantee that we can implement it, but I thought we would put it out there, to guage interest, amongst those who would really use it most. ( Click here for the tabs documentation.) If you'd like to experiment around with it, you can go to 's Sandbox. This software is called LilyPond, and it's documentation is here. ![]() I recently came across a wiki-compatible software that will let you enter the musical notes as hypertext, and it spits out a nice print-friendly. If you're a big Guitar Tab or Bass Tab fan, check this out. ![]()
